From Top 10 Most Stressful Professions, Work Stressors and Colleague Irritations

IT is in the top 10 stressful professions? Interesting… seems that might not include IT people in my work. LOL. Incidentally, my email program on my Mac is not working and I sent in my help ticket when the day started and had it set to “critical”, but the IT people still haven’t fixed it. Nice!
Probably they are too busy being stressed out by their bosses… Managers can be pains in the *** sometimes.
This is one good post, I must say. My previous work was into engineering/design/field works. And I can say it’s stressful. The good thing is that I learned a lot. Stressed because of that undervalued feeling and lack of control over the working day. And my colleague irritation was about my manager.
Asking to work overtime was controlled because the company doesn’t want to pay for the extra hours you render for work, even if you have things to finish. And I hated the manager for blaming other things to me when in fact I was helping him with these ‘other’ things that wasn’t supposed to be part of my tasks, e.g. estimates and other civil works. That happened to me for several Mondays after every weekly meeting which made my weeks bull****. And most of all, he used God everytime we discuss work – that God gave this work and the company was the instrument and we have to be thankful about it. So BAD for using God’s name where the company practices injustice and doesn’t follow some things stated in the Labor Code.
Bad managers must have come from the depths of Hell…
