The Teresa Fidalgo accident and the subsequent fake video of her supposed “haunting” of a certain road in Sintra have spawned too much attention from web denizens. Some of us who had no inkling as to the capitalistic motives of Mr. Rebordao were led to believe the vehicular accident of the trio – Tiago, David and Tania – was true and that Teresa the ghost girl can really appear in flesh in front of a camera. That was a bit sneaky but the virality of such a video did the trick for Mr. Rebordao’s business. Now many people visit the “A Curva” site for more info. Curiosity is such a strong force to reckon with. Learn the lesson from Pandora, people.
Anyways, I’m very thankful for s0ulless for reposting the English translation of David’s message at the A Curva site. s0ulless also was considerate in placing a link back to my post. LOL! I was happy about that.
s0ulless did point out logically that the video couldn’t have been real in the first place. Case in point was the disappearing cellphone on the dashboard. And also if it were true then there would have been public records and news articles on the accident.
However, there really was a Teresa Fidalgo who died in 1983. And the video David made is dated 2003. Three years later there’s another car accident on that stretch of road on April 2006.
The video clip that’s been floating around the web is not the original. It has been heavily edited and served its purpose in raising the interest of people. It’s suppose to whet the appetite of the public for the real film. Once curiosity gets hold of a person’s interest, the desire for more is inevitable. This is viral marketing and it’s being applied brilliantly by Mr. Rebordao.

Impressive, this is the best info that anyone could come up with, the short film that I had seen was a 7 mins 4 secs video entitled; “Hitchhiking Female ghost causes an accident” I was struck with curiosity, I thought it is one of those ghost story back in bagiuo in the philippines, by the I’ve finish the film, I wonder dreary why should anyone waste their time making fake ghost documentaries, and I’ve set out some researches, which leads me to nothing, just knowing that a Teresa Fidalgo actually died in an accident in Sintra Portugal, well for days I’ve wonder why, and here it is, ha! all of my questions have been answered, eventually not all, This Mr. Rebordao was said to be a capitalist? right, its not a wise decision of puliing a frank and investing in an urban ghost story, just to attract web enthusiast, if its true that he stand the notion that this girl is a real ghost, but pratically not involved with it, why waste his time endorcing such crap?

well it did happend i was researching and there was a young girl named teresa and she died in a car accident many years ago and now at night she hunts the road and asks for a ride …….i wonder if no onme else has seen her.
it seems real, the ghost has some kind of EMP thing going on, thats why the video got kinda shaky and stuff, it was affected being so close to the ghost. i think its real in my opinion. Nothing is obvious about faked and such. my 2 cents

. My friends pulled that one on me, when i first got my driving licence. I was just eighteen and we were driving around, when i saw some nice girl, and my friends conviced me to pick her up. When she was in the car, she didnt talk, she was just looking down. When i ask her, for name, she just pointed her finger afront of me and said : see that spot on the road? i said : yes. She screamed real laoud : I DEID there!
There are no words to explain that fear. I’ve left the steering wheel and we were thumbling and rolling down the road in my almoust new car. Nobody were hurt…luckily. I went almoust mental, and didnt sleep for a month and i still have chills today, years after. That girl on a video is a good actrees too, almoust like one my friends arrange for me.
All in all i like ghost stories, but there must be some hard background proof, not just : “boooo” and “baaav.”
P.S. – My Friends bought me a new brand new car(Seat) . And the best thing is : The guy who came up with this joke, claims now, that she saw the real girl in his dreams. And we are bilion miles away from the accident place. Funny eh?

Only in our version i remember, seconds after the scream, when i lefted the steering whell, was that horribly squeeking noise of tires, and parts of glass flying around when we were on the roof.

Watched it, shocked and got the chills for a minute after, but it just cant be true. It is made in the way anybody would fear and thats exactly why it is a fake.Think about it, and am not talking about the ghost, the people in the car won’t act so naive and the end is so cinematic. If it was me directing it i would have made teresa speak the last bit with no emotions slowly and without screaming. IT JUST UNLEACHES UNCERTAINTY AND DEEP SEATED FEARS AND THATS WHY ANYBODY WILL BELIEVE IT AS AN EASIER OPTION.

This Video IS a fake for those of you who cannot read portuguese when you enter acurva.net, the guy who made the video explains he made it for entertainment he says he wants to make movies someday and he explains the “strategy” around the film, by making a ghost story he would attract costumers. if you dont believe me then learn portuguese and see for yourself, im not saying ghosts dont exist but this one doesnt and if she does THIS video is a total FAKE and everyone who says otherwise is a total idiot
The supranatural is always shocking. I don’t know…to believe or not. Some strange things happened to me too, untaped (never ready for this things, right!) but I’m almost sure there is a logical and normal, if you wish, explainantions for that. if you see the camera after the accident its only drop from his hands if the car accident was real the camera should have destroyed by the power of the crash

Hi there I was a Police Accident Investergator and I investergated this accident in May 2002.
The video footage was so unexplainable to us that we had to with hold it to the public,
In 2006 there was another accident very simlar, but I no longer work for the police because of what I witnessed on video. This Video that was made by David Rebordao was using real footage from the accident, but was edited and is not the full story, the worst was after the video camera was on the floor. Ican not tell you anymore because I have signed a sore.
P.S I hope that this helps some of you realize that the video is not fake, and that all your questions can be answered.

For those of you that refuse to think the video is fake even in the light of having been TOLD by multiple people who have actually done the research….it’s fake.
The incident may be real, the ghost story may be real……..but this video, this accident, and this ghost girl (who isn’t a ghost but rather an actual girl) is not real. The whole EMP thing the ghost was doing in the video that supposedly shows it is real to the person who mentioned the EMP thing….sorry to be a jerk and burst your bubble, but anyone who knows anything about anything knows that could have been achieved in a video editing program. You also should have known that if you weren’t born yesterday. It is obviously not real EMP, it is obviously an affect done in editing. OBVIOUSLY meaning no questions asked.
I believe in ghosts too everyone, but you shouldn’t believe in a video just because you believe in the concept. This video is clearly a fake to anyone with any real discernment who has watched it multiple times. I have seen many times over the last year, many different edits, many different versions. It is fake. People who are convinced it is real after viewing it more than twice WANT TO BELIEVE IT IS REAL…they have no authority or experience that would be able to allow them the knowledge or information to determine whether or not it is real.

The reason the video seems real is because the people who made it wanted it to seem real, they wanted you to think it was real. That is why you think it is real…..because they made it that way. It has nothing to do with it actually being real or based on a true story or anything. You believe it is real because you don’t know any better not to. If you don’t have an education in film and technology you cannot be expected to know the difference between a real video and a fake one because you have no way of knowing….but to deny it when someone who does know actually tells you…that is just stupid.
