[Digg] The Ghost Girl of Sintra video, I think, is one of the most successful viral videos ever passed around the web. A lot of people were convinced there really is a ghost roaming that dark stretch of road in Sintra, but according to Joao, a Portuguese, the video is a total and complete fake. It’s actually a short film made by David Rebordao.

david, you have a natural flair for direction and keeping the audience’s attention.what I liked about it was that it appeared so “genuine”,you didnt make them overact or such,seemed very normal and casual,including the dialogue.I loved it,and for some reason,I have a yen to watch here and there even though I now know its not real.that spells out a promising future for you sir.it has that nice calm build up that the movie “the Others” has.

Everyone should know it’s fake. Why in the hell would police release a video like this??? Um they wouldn’t. The police still have the original tape and the only survivor won’t talk. Easy as that.

The mobile phone image that kept appearing(and disappearing) and the slight ‘pixelation’ towards the end suggest that the video could have been edited. It is worth noting that the mobile phone was removed/simply disappeared just before ‘Teresa’ appeared. The mobile phone could have been used to produce the distortion effect on the camera..

This video made me a believer, and I never had a real reason to believe in ghosts before. I’m gonna try to find an article and pictures of this girl from the actually accident and I’m also gonna try to find this story itself documented somewhere online. If it really happened i’ll find the real article about this story of the car accident cause who truly knows if it’s real or not, if it isn’t real man this director did a damn good job at making seem real as hell and to me i don’t believe that video clip seemed fake at all, but i wish the person who lived throught the “car accident” could speak up to all of us online and just make his own site about his story, but the whole thing cold be just fake or he may be so terrified and still in shock (which if this video clip was real, he would be in terrible shock)and he may be mentally and emotionally unstable after having the experience. I need hard proof about this story man it’s really buggin’ me, i’ve never seen anything so real and i’m gonna get to the bottom of this, i don’t think it was camera tricks i really don’t.

for anyone who talks down about this short, youre a bunch of dorks thinking your a bunch of big film makers. i know there was a part of you that thought it was real or else you wouldnt of tried to find out it was a fake, and when you did find out it was fake you had to talk smack because you couldnt create something just as good or better then this short.

WOW….That video scared me senseless. If as you claim the video was fake…then kudos to you for a very and I mean VERY convincing clip. Comming from a generation that somewhat believes in ghosts, I find it entirely believeable that something like this can (and maybe did) happen. Once again, awesome job on the direction, acting, and effects. Even though now I know it was all manufactured, I still have goose bumps.

man i tell ya it scared the fuck outta me , i had goose bumbs for hours after watching it, and i mean hours , but my curiosity made me find the truth , i couldnt sleep , i just couldnt stop thinking about it. WoW what a amazing video , great work Dave , you are brilliant , things like this need to be an opening for a movie , get the spectator something to cring through out the short film. In my opinion you should have taken this further. Maybe even had the video at the end of the a film. this is how i would break it down.
Give the girl a story a plot , where she was going and why. Maybe to see a boyfriend that has been cheating on her and shes driving there to catch him cheating. shes crying and heart broken and wants some kind of vengance ect…. and then right before the credits , you show these 3 people driving down the road , getting lost only to run into her , and boom she kills all of them. Awsome work man, im happy to know its a fake cause im pretty mind fucked about it lol

This is based an old urban legend, i heard of similar variations of this story which apparently happened on a highway near Manly in northern Sydney when i was growing up.
Fake or not it’s defenitly freaky, and if it is fake congrates should be given to the film makers.

first i know some reasons that this is not a fake. do not believe the person that made this website if you read any of the other websites, it says that david was to freaked out to discus the accident. most fake vidoes have blurring around the edges, and the people may be blurred, there may also be some un-wanted sounds in the background. all of these were not in the video. the camera imaging was bad witch it would probaly be better so that people could view it if it was a fake. so david might be just making things like this up saying that it is a fake, so that people could leave him alone because he just doesn’t remember, let alone he probaly doesn’t wanna talk about how his friends died in a car accident. or the translator of this web-site faked what the words really were to make other people believe that the video was a fake.
