User modification on internet media like videos on YouTube is now possible through a new web application called BubblePly, an innovative product from an Israel-based company called Plymedia.
According to Jason Lee Miller from WebProNews, BubblePly was an experimental application that enables users to modify video by adding layered content. For example, you have found a cool video on YouTube and you would like to place text or thought bubbles in it to make it more interesting and funny. Plymedia has developed
a platform that allows users to overlay content, say subtitles for translation, a clickable advertisement, or music, on the video itself and display it or distribute it over the net.
Plymedia launched BubblePly last week. Bubbleply allows users to take a video off YouTube or other video-sharing site, and add speech or thought bubbles to
the characters.
The platform is so simple that a person who knows how to work a
mouse and a keyboard should be able to do it successfully: insert
URL; BubblePly retrieves video, sets it up a Web-based application
allowing the bubbles to be added; when finished, the video is
submitted and instantly reappears with a new URL and code to be
pasted onto a website or blog.
